We had a unique visitor July 6, 2014. A kangaroo breeding farm, owned by Rex and Tawny Paperd, came to purchase some miniature horses. They brought along a baby kangaroo, that was being weaned in order to go home with its new Oklahoma owners. So much cuteness! I never dreamed kangaroos were being bred in Washington state. I can now say I've held a baby kangaroo, and I didn't even have to travel to Australia!

Here are some pictures of Redford (2009 colt) with some visitors to our farm. Redford didn't quite know what to think of the tiny human being! The left photo also shows our new wind turbine we installed in February.

Here are some pictures of the scenery around us. The first picture is of a double rainbow over our neighbor's house. Second picture is of a bald eagle after pouncing on something in the field next door. If you look close, you can see an immature bald eagle in the background.

Grandma Deb brought 2 year old Mason to visit Thistle Fields in July of 2012. Thistle Fields American Bombshell aka Shelley is a super tiny and friendly filly born in June. They both warmed up to each other and had a wonderful time.

I finally got a new barn built in 2013. Before we could even get hay or stalls in it, a barn owl came visiting. The second time it showed up, I finally got some decent pictures. Barn owls take me back to my childhood, when we tried saving one that had been hit by a car. They're so unusual and pretty!
